Wakeboard Boat Review

Centurion's Enzo SV233 is a great all around mid size boat with plenty of space and high-end surf and wake performance. Our favorite feature for 2015 is the redesigned Touch Vision System II. Centurion added a screen that's front and center for immediate access to vital functions. On top of that, the other screen has deeper functionality for features you may not use as often as well as customization that can truly make the SV233 your own. Splitting the screens made everything more user friendly and allowed for increased font sizes that are easier to read.

RAMFILL ballast is another standout feature. RAMFILL floods the hull through gates at the bottom while underway. The system adds massive amounts of weight in about 30 seconds and empties in about a minute. It's simple and convenient and definitely beats waiting for sacks to fill every time you want to ride.

The tower is also brand new for 2015. It looks great and has plenty of functionality. LED lights are built in, there are spots for four board racks, it collapses easily and you can control audio levels separately so riders can hear music without blowing out eardrums inside the boat.

Wakeboard Boat Review

The Enzo SV 244 was Centurion's original surf flagship and it still holds up. On top of its world-class surf performance it has luxury and convenience features everywhere you look. The redesigned Touch Vision System II controls the boat’s functions. The system is improved from previous years to be simpler and more intuitive than ever before. It now has two digital screens so there's not as much complexity as with the original Touch Vision system, but you still get all the functionality.

The SV244 also comes with a brand-new tower for 2015. It collapses easily, has LED lighting integrated right into the structure, space for four board racks, and multiple tower speakers. Zone audio is also new for Centurion this year, which is huge for dialing in separate audio levels and keeping everyone comfortable. We can’t talk about the SV244 without mentioning its bench seating. Any surf boat this good is going to attract a lot of people, and you can fit a lot of passengers really comfortably in the SV244 because of the uncluttered seating arrangement. It's nothing fancy, but it's ergonomic and it has a ton of space.

Wakeboard Boat Review

Centurion's Enzo FS22 built a name for itself on a platform of solid wake and surf performance in a tech-forward luxury package, and a few years later the package is just as impressive. Updates for 2015 include the redesigned touch vision system II at the helm. The system now has two screens, one front and center for vitals and one to the right for deeper functions and more customization. Centurion split the functionality between two screens to make each simpler and to allow for larger font sizes.

Another must-have feature is the RAMFILL ballast. RAMFILL floods the hull with massive amounts of weight in 30 seconds and empties in about a minute. RAMFILL fills the hull through a scoop while underway and empties with gravity driven drains at the back so there are no pumps to mess with.

Of all the features to tout on the FS22, we have to mention the interior fit and finish. This boat turned a lot of heads when it was released because of its attention to detail on vinyl accents, ergonomics and badging, as well as innovative design features with carbon fiber accents. With a few seasons under its belt, the FS22's fit and finish is no less impressive.

Wakeboard Boat Review

The all-new Centurion Enzo FS33 is more than just a middle point between the 22 and 44, it’s also the company’s most advanced boat ever built. This luxury surf and wakeboard boat starts off with new rear facing seating options. A seat on either side of the lounge pops up and locks into place so you can sit backward and watch the rider without craning your neck. Pinch release the seat back’s lock when you're done and you have bench seating again, the engineering is really simple and well executed.

The FS33’s myriad features are pulled together with the Touch Vision System II at the dash. The system was redesigned to have two screens, one directly in front for crucial driving functions and the other for deeper functionality. They both use the same software so you won't have any trouble switching from one to the other, and between the two you can control just about everything in the boat from the helm. The brand-new FS33 comes with a brand-new tower. It has integrated LED lights as well as a zone-specific audio feature so you can independently control the downward facing tower speakers as well as the back facing tower speakers so riders can hear music while passengers in the lounge carry on a conversation.

Wakeboard Boat Review

Centurion's Enzo FS44 is a surf powerhouse with wakeboard potential and a massive list of luxury class features. One of our favorite new things is the new tower. It's got spots for four board racks, a Bimini, LED lighting, and multiple tower speakers. The speakers face downward and back, and they're adjustable with a fader at the dash so you can pick where you want the sound. On top of that, the tower integrates perfectly with the boat’s look and feel to make a sleek on water profile that will turn heads.

A boat this big needs a lot of ballast, which is where the RAMFILL system comes into play. Fill the ballast by getting the boat above 10 miles per hour and opening the gate. Thirty seconds later your boat is full of ballast. It's that easy, and the draining process is the same in reverse. You’d be crazy not to opt for RAMFILL in this surf machine. The redesigned Touch Vision System II ties everything together at the dash. It now has two digital screens, one for primary functions and the other for more in depth functionality you don't need all the time. The system uses the same software on both units so the same easy user interface will run both screens.

Wakeboard Boat Review

Centruion's Enzo SS210 is the company's smallest boat, but it has a ton of high-end features and sport potential. Everything is centered around the micro touch screen at the dash. This digital screen is really simple, but it has every feature you need to drive the boat in style. Shallow menus and an intuitive interface mean there's no confusion and lower cost than the bigger touch screens.

For 2015 the SS210 got fitted with a brand new tower, and the design not only looks great with the boat's hull shape, it's also really functional. Fold the tower down with two screws and a cable assists with the weight not matter how matter how many board racks and speakers you’ve got. There's also a locking function so the tower will only come down when you want it to.

And finally we've got the cooler. Why is a cooler a big deal? Because it's also a structural component of the boat. The midships cooler provides strength for the deck at a crucial torsion point as well as keeping iced down beverages, which is a dual purpose feature indicative of this little boat’s well-considered versatility.

Centurion’s Enzo FS33 is the company’s best boat to date. Period. This boat is the culmination of every model to come before it in terms of performance, technology and style, and the result is an absolute surf monster. The lounge has flip-up seating that allows passengers to face backward to see the action without straining their necks, which is a great feature for long surf sets. The helm features two digital screens to separate and simplify all the boat’s functions. The system can store rider presets to call up everything you need to get a specific wave at a moment’s notice. The boat does all the work. For a solid port surf jumping-off point, try loading the FS33 with 100 percent port ballast, 20 to 40 percent starboard, and 100 percent bow. If you have the optional World Wakesurfing plug and play ballast, fill that to 100 percent on the side you want to surf. For starboard surfing, do equal amounts on the opposite side. From there you can tweak the Wing Plate and CATS to your liking. Whether you want a steep and short wave with a ton of power or a flatter wave with a massive pocket, the FS33 can deliver with a few simple adjustments of the underwater gear.

DIG THIS: Centurion’s Ramfill ballast is a gravity-/motion-filling weight system that floods the inside of the hull to absolutely massive amounts of weight in an incredibly short amount of time. The ballast ties into Centurion’s touch screen for a quick and easy visual interface that won’t leave you guessing what’s full and what’s empty.

STAT: Originally introduced in 1990 and then rereleased in 2014, the CATS system helps a Centurion boat shape wakes to the rider’s preference. The system was originally designed to help drivers stay perfectly straight in the slalom course, but Centurion recognized how the technology could be reapplied to the changing water-sports landscape to enhance wakes.
